DECEMBER 22, 2018 AT 5 p.m.

The Grand Opening of Soapbox Gallery Wall to Wall features short appearances by a wide range of performers, including pianist Adam Kent in works by Ernesto Halffter, Enrique Granados, and George Gershwin. Adam Kent is on at 5 pm, but the free event goes on until 10 pm. According to the creators: “In the tradition of the humble yet mighty soapbox, the Soapbox Gallery is dedicated to providing a forum for artists for all genres to engage the public. We believe that at such a critical and urgent time in history, art and culture are the most potent forces that build communities of activism, raise social awareness, inspire dignity and shared human values—all necessary ingredients to raise consciousness and spur social evolution.”
